Jay-z & Linkin Park digipak analysis

Jay-z and Linkin park digipak

-In genre theory we talk about why genres are subject to change we can talk about this here as on this album we have Linkin Park on it that are known for being a popular rock band but they are collaborating with Jay-Z here so this is unpredictable and will keep audiences interested because they won’t know what to expect. But both artists are well respected enough to still get a lot of interest in the album.
-The font and the graphic of the album cover connect well with the rap genre, this is the body text element talked about in genre theory by having fonts with this type of graphic audiences will immediately draw comparisons with what genre they have seen similar fonts in before, and this will be within the rap genre. Narrative theory isn’t used in this particular digipak as their aren’t any images of either of the artists featured on the album, this could have been done for many reasons one being that to show audiences it’s all about the music and they don’t need images to help sell the album because the music speaks for itself.
