- Recovery is the name of the album as the songs and the album itself is all about Eminem’s recovery both from rehab and back into the music scene. That’s why we see Recovery all over the pages in the album with the white cross on the red background being the logo for the album.
- Because we derive our own ideas of what to expect through
genre according to Chandler, we know that rehab and these come-back albums are
very common in the rap genre we already have a pre-conceived idea of what to
expect from the album in terms on the content, experience has told us to expect
deep content and lyrics from the heart. So the covers are trying to reflect
this content, by showing Eminem on a road by himself connoting he is on the
road back to recovery and he’d back on the right path.
-In narrative theory we have an example of the character role ‘the lone wolf’ as Eminem is seen in all his pictures on his own, not giving any direct contact with the camera- This makes him appear more serious about his music now and taking things seriously as an individual artist.
